Color preferences

If you read from the screen for long periods at a time, you may want to explore some of the new color preferences we’ve added in version 4.0 of VitalSource^TM Bookshelf. Choose Preferences (under the Bookshelf application menu for Mac users, under the Edit menu for Windows), then click the Colors tab. Note that if you pick a dark background for page or figure backgrounds, when printing Bookshelf will always use black text on white to conserve printer ink.

As you can see from this screenshot, Bookshelf will also dynamically adjust highlight colors to be readable on whatever colors you have chosen. In this example, the pink is automatically darkened to be seen on the dark gray background and still allow the white text to be clear.
